According to regulations for primary care, general practioners are now obliged to accept appointments online from their patients. Norwegian Knowledge Centre for the Health Services has been commissioned to summarize research on the effects of such electronic scheduling of appointments.

We identified no studies that examined the effect of electronic scheduling of appointments between patients and their general practitioners on the relevant outcomes.
