Additional information about polio vaccination
Travellers (regardless of age) who intend to stay in this country for more than 4 weeks are encouraged to have the polio vaccine between 4 weeks and 12 months before leaving the country.
For infants who are travelling, consider bringing vaccination forward and maybe switch to a 4-dose schedule for infants who will not have time to receive two doses of polio vaccine before departure.
The vaccination should be documented with an international vaccine certificate to ensure you can leave the country.
Yellow Fever Sertificate
This country requires documentation of yellow fever vaccination upon entry for travelers coming from or traveling via countries at risk of yellow fever transmission.
Malaria
Mosquito-bite prevention and chemoprofylaxis recommended.
Zambezi Valley (including Victoria Falls), year-round: Mosquito-bite prevention and chemoprophylaxis recommended. Harare and Bulawayo and areas above 1200 meters: Negligible malaria risk.
The rest of the country below 1200 meters, November-June: Mosquito-bite prevention and chemoprophylaxis recommended, and July-October: Mosquito bite prophylaxis.
