ENABLE Consortium

The ENABLE consortium is a multidisciplinary team of 11 partners from Europe (Norway, Sweden, Netherlands) and Africa (Ethiopia and Nigeria) that includes both national public health institutes, private and public research universities, and a not-for-profit organization.
We all share the same goal under ENABLE – to reduce the burden of NCDs in Ethiopia with evidence-based solutions that promote healthy diets and physical activity and reduce exposure to air pollution to support a clean and health-promoting urban environment.
Partners have been carefully selected, based on their experience and scholarship, both at the organizational and individual levels, each contributing unique strengths to the project. Their organizational roles and responsibilities, skills, and expertise create a synergistic team with interdisciplinary knowledge that covers the ambitious objectives set out for the project. The consortium’s expertise encompasses three main research domains: implementation science; public health epidemiology/biostatistics; and environmental monitoring and exposure assessment.
