To date, 113 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Norway. None of the cases are seriously ill or have been admitted to hospital.

The Norwegian Institute of Public Health today reported that a further 27 people had tested positive for coronavirus. They are in isolation at home and are being followed up by the local health services in their respective municipalities.

Most of the cases can still be linked to outbreaks abroad, 79 of cases are linked to the outbreak in northern Italy.

Geographical distribution

As of 6th March, a total of 113 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Norway. The geographical distribution of cases is as follows:

  • Agder: 5
  • Innlandet: 6
  • Møre og Romsdal: 2
  • Nordland: 0
  • Oslo: 23
  • Rogaland: 10
  • Telemark og Vestfold: 2
  • Troms og Finnmark: 6
  • Trøndelag: 11
  • Vestland: 23
  • Viken: 25
