The Division of Public Health and Prevention is responsible for developing the institute's expertise in the areas of substance use, mental health and physical health.
The Division of Public Health and Prevention is also responsible for co-ordinating and strengthening the areas of research and health analytics for the entire institute, and for building capacity and expertise regarding knowledge summaries in the field of public health, burden of health analyses and impact evaluations in relation to public health. The Division for Public Health and Prevention also contributes to the institute's other responsibilities relating to preparedness, advice and services.
