Responsibilities
Head of the department for pest control. The department works with research, consultancy, and teaching in the field of urban pests and entomology. Knowledge acquisition and research focuses on pest control and protection against pests through constantly improved and safer control measures and reducing the use of chemicals. My areas of expertise are insect ecology, medical entomology, blood-feeding insects, wood boring insects, resistance to chemicals, development of control methodology, population dynamics, insect physiology, wasps and bees, mosquitoes and flies, insect repellents. Current projects involves studies on bed bugs, bristletails and rodents.
