Responsibilities
I am a bioethicist and senior researcher with expertise in research ethics, qualitative and quantitative research, and stakeholder engagement. I am interested in investigating ethical and societal challenges in health research, including challenges driven by the impact of climate change on health. My work includes research on consent processes, methods for research participant involvement, stakeholder views and perspectives, and the return of research findings to research participants and society at large. I currently participate in several EU projects and is the national ELSI representative of the biobank infrastructure Biobank Norway. I also participate in the Centre for Sustainable Diets and the Centre for Genetic Epidemiology and Mental Health, both located at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health. I hold a PhD in research ethics from the University of Oslo and an MA in Research Ethics from Keele University in the United Kingdom.
