Proof- of concept: Comparative Wastewater Sampling for Multi-Pathogen Detection in Urban Areas and Airports of Denmark and Norway
Prosjekt
|Oppdatert
The aim of this project is to explore the public health relevance of parallel analysis of multiple pathogens by sampling wastewater from urban areas and airports in two different countries (Norway and Denmark). The project will provide valuable experiences in the use of wastewater-based epidemiology in the preparedness for future cross-border health threats.
Sammendrag
The aim of this project is to explore the public health relevance of parallel analysis of multiple pathogens by sampling wastewater from urban areas and airports in two different countries (Norway and Denmark). The project will compare the results to gain insights into the presence and distribution of pathogens and their potential impact on public health as a “proof of concept” of this bilateral approach. The project will provide valuable experiences in the use of wastewater-based epidemiology in the preparedness for future cross-border health threats.
This is a joint bilateral project conducted in collaboration between Statens Serum Institut (DK) and Folkehelseinstituttet.
