Summary
There is at present a need to explore the preterm population in the Norwegian Mother and Child cohort study, to facilitate future planned studies on the mechanisms of preterm birth. The project will describe the preterm population according to singleton and multiple pregnancy as well as contribution according to gestational age. Furthermore, the project will estimate the risk of spontaneous preterm birth after febrile episodes and infections during pregnancy.
